Privacy Policy

Effective August 3, 2026

TransCanada Waste Ltd. operates this website and provides organic waste management and product-destruction solutions for food and beverage operations. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and intake channels, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

The short version. We collect the information you choose to send us through a form, email or phone call, plus limited first-touch information that the website stores in your browser to understand how an inquiry arrived. We use it to respond, assess and coordinate your request, prepare a job-specific solution, and manage a customer relationship. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site.

What we collect

When you use a website form, you may provide:

The form also sends technical intake fields such as a submission identifier, landing page, referring page, campaign parameters and first-touch time. These fields help us match an inquiry to its source and prevent duplicate handling. The website may store this first-touch information in your browser's local storage. It is not an advertising profile.

If you email or call us, we collect what you choose to provide. Our phone intake platform may create a transcript, summary or contact suggestion from a call so that a human team member can follow up.

Why we collect it

We use personal information to:

Consent and communications

Submitting a form, emailing us or calling us is a request for us to use the information you provide to respond and handle that request. We do not add people to a marketing list simply because they submit an inquiry. If we later ask for permission to send marketing communications, you may decline or withdraw that permission at any time by contacting intake@transcanadawaste.com.

Who may receive it

Access is limited to TransCanada Waste personnel and service providers who need the information for the purposes above. Website form submissions and uploaded files are handled by Netlify. Email, cloud, CRM and phone-intake providers may process or store information on our behalf. Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and lawful access by authorities there.

Where needed to carry out a requested job, we may share relevant operational details with vetted carriers, trusted facilities or other service partners. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may disclose information when required or permitted by law, court order or an emergency involving safety or security.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry, call and customer information only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, quote, coordinate service, administer an account, resolve disputes, maintain business records and meet legal or tax obligations. We then securely delete or destroy it, subject to provider retention periods and any record we are required to keep. You may ask us to delete information sooner, but legal or operational requirements may limit what we can remove.

Access, correction and privacy questions

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, how it has been used or disclosed, and request a correction if it is inaccurate or incomplete. Send a written request to intake@transcanadawaste.com with enough detail for us to locate the information. We will respond within the time required by applicable privacy law and may need to verify your identity before releasing information.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards and limit access to people who need the information. No online service is completely secure. If a privacy incident creates a legal notification obligation or a real risk of significant harm, we will take the steps required by applicable law.

Children

This is a business-to-business service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If our information practices change, we will update this page and the effective date. Material changes will be identified here rather than made silently.
